Service Description
The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is the starting point for anyone wanting to gain employment as a lifeguard anywhere in the UK. A full forty hour course will teach you rescue techniques, emergency first aid, personal safety and the legislation that protects you and leisure service users. People that undertake this course will leave having learned not only how to be a lifeguard, but life skills including: teamwork, organisation, communication, leadership and resilience, that will stay with them forever. Course run by experienced lifeguard trainer at recently refurbished venue. Free parking is available for all candidates. St. Joseph's College (IGNIS SITE) is around 10 minutes walk from Frizinghall railway station with regular trains to Shipley, Skipton and Leeds. This course is suitable for both new and renewal candidates and is a five day course. **Please note, day 1 of this course will be taught online using Zoom/Teams with an experienced lifeguard trainer leading the day.
