Service Description

The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is the starting point for anyone wanting to gain employment as a lifeguard anywhere in the UK. A full forty hour course will teach you rescue techniques, emergency first aid, personal safety and the legislation that protects you and leisure service users. People that undertake this course will leave having learned not only how to be a lifeguard, but life skills including: teamwork, organisation, communication, leadership and resilience, that will stay with them forever. Course run by experienced lifeguard trainer at recently refurbished leisure centre. Free parking is available for all candidates. Gateshead Leisure Centre is around 10minutes walk from Gateshead interchange Metro and bus station with regular trains to Newcastle, Sunderland, South Shields and Tynemouth. LTC North East is a leading provider of this qualification in the North East with an award winning team of excellent tutors. **Please note, day 1 of this course will be taught online using Zoom/Teams with an experienced lifeguard trainer leading the day.
